Teeth cleanings and vaccines at Barky Mountain.

On clinic days, K-9 Smiles brings its veterinarians and dental hygienists into our salon on Forsstrom Drive. They clean teeth without putting your dog or cat under and give routine vaccines while they’re here; you book and pay through K-9 Smiles, and we host.

Next clinic Wednesday, October 28, 2026

What the cleaning covers

There’s no sedation and no recovery time, and it takes about 45 minutes whether you bring in a Yorkie or a Bernese.

  • A look at the whole mouth first, written up on a dental report card
  • Plaque and tartar scaled off
  • Cleaning above and below the gumline
  • A polish to finish

$295 flat, everything included. That’s the price K-9 Smiles lists on its site, and they’ll confirm it when you book.

Vaccines

A licensed veterinarian gives every shot, and each one is $35 on K-9 Smiles’ current price list.

Dogs

  • Rabies, with the certificate and tag
  • DAPPv (the 4-in-1)
  • Bordetella, given in the nose
  • Leptospirosis

Cats

  • Rabies, certificate and tag included
  • FVRCP (the 3-in-1)

Heartworm tests are $35 too. Puppy and kitten booster schedules are on the K-9 Smiles vaccine page; ask what they’re bringing that day when you book.

When your vet is the better call

Anesthesia-free cleaning deals with everyday plaque and tartar, and for an older dog or a cat with kidney or liver trouble it’s often the only cleaning that makes sense. It won’t fix a loose or cracked tooth, an infection, or gum disease that has gone deep. If the hygienist finds something like that, it goes on the report card and K-9 Smiles sends you to your own veterinarian for a full dental.

How to book

Open the K-9 Smiles calendar, find Barky Mountain Grooming on October 28, and choose View Available Times. You pick the service and time slot and pay K-9 Smiles directly. The salon can’t take clinic bookings, so calling us won’t hold a spot.

On the day, come to 9064 Forsstrom Drive, B5 & B10 a few minutes before your time. K-9 Smiles asks owners to wait outside the room during the cleaning, and you’ll get the report card when they’re done.

Between clinics, we’ll brush your dog’s teeth at the counter for $12 on any visit. It doesn’t replace a cleaning, but it helps between them.

Clinic questions

Where can I get my dog’s teeth cleaned without anesthesia near Lone Tree?

At Barky Mountain Grooming, 9064 Forsstrom Drive, B5 & B10 in Lone Tree, on K-9 Smiles clinic days. Book through the K-9 Smiles calendar at k-9smiles.com and pick the Barky Mountain Grooming date.

Does Barky Mountain do the cleaning?

No. K-9 Smiles does, with licensed veterinarians and canine dental hygienists on staff at every clinic. We host them in the salon, and our groomers don’t clean teeth or give shots.

How much does it cost?

K-9 Smiles lists a cleaning at $295 flat for a dog or cat of any size, with nothing added on. Vaccines and heartworm tests are $35 each. Those are their prices, so they’ll confirm the current number when you book.

Can every dog get an anesthesia-free cleaning?

No. A loose or fractured tooth, an abscess, an infection, deep gum disease, or a dog in real pain needs a dental under anesthesia at your vet, and K-9 Smiles will tell you so on the report card.

My dog is old. Is that a problem?

Usually not. K-9 Smiles regularly cleans older pets, including cats and dogs with kidney or liver disease who aren’t good candidates for anesthesia. They check each one before starting.

Which vaccines can my pet get there?

Rabies, DAPPv, Bordetella and leptospirosis for dogs; rabies and FVRCP for cats. A licensed veterinarian gives each one, and rabies comes with a certificate and tag. Ask when you book what they’re bringing that day.
