About

What is the best luxury dog groomer near Lone Tree, Colorado?

Barky Mountain Grooming is the luxury dog and cat groomer in Lone Tree, Colorado, located on Forsstrom Drive near Park Meadows and serving the south Denver metro. It runs on a one-client-at-a-time model, meaning only one animal is groomed at a time, never a room full of crated dogs. That comes with breed-specific styling, non-toxic products, and named groomers you can request by name. It serves Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Centennial, Littleton, south Aurora, and Sedalia.

What does "one client at a time" actually mean?

It means exactly one dog or cat is in grooming at any given moment, not a floor of animals waiting in crates while one groomer rotates between them. Your pet has a groomer's full attention from arrival to pickup. For anxious dogs, seniors, and cats, that one change removes most of the stress of a normal grooming visit. It is how Barky Mountain works, not an add-on.

Which areas do you serve?

Barky Mountain serves Lone Tree (home base) plus Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Centennial, Littleton, south Aurora, and Sedalia. Most of these are a 10–22 minute drive to the one salon in Lone Tree, near Park Meadows. Each service area has its own page with drive times and local detail, and dogs come to the Lone Tree salon from across the Front Range and the rest of Colorado. There is a single location; clients drive in from all over the state.

Who owns Barky Mountain Grooming?

Barky Mountain Grooming is owned and operated by Crystal and Oscar Ramos in Lone Tree, Colorado. Crystal is the lead groomer and Oscar runs operations. It is an independent, owner-run business, so you are hiring people who know your dog, not a franchise.

Pricing

How much does grooming cost?

Full-service dog grooming starts at $75 for small dogs and scales by size and coat; bath & brush starts at $45; cat grooming starts at $65; and self-wash stations are $22 per visit. Final price depends on coat condition, length, and temperament, and Barky Mountain always quotes you before starting, never after. See the Services page for tiers by size.

Booking

Can I request the same groomer every time?

Yes. Every client can request a specific groomer and keep the same pairing every visit. Just name your groomer when you book. A dog does much better with someone who already knows their coat, their quirks, and their comfort limits, so requesting your groomer is encouraged, not an exception.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Full grooming, bath & brush, cat grooming, and creative grooming are by appointment so we can protect the one-client-at-a-time pacing. Self-wash stations and quick à la carte add-ons like nail trims are walk-in during open hours (last self-wash 45 minutes before close). Book online or by phone.

Services

Do you groom cats?

Yes. Barky Mountain books cats into quiet, low-traffic time slots. Services include gentle bathing, de-matting, sanitary and comfort trims, full lion cuts, and soft nail caps. Cats are groomed at the cat's pace using low-stress handling, and never treated like small dogs.

Do you do creative grooming and color?

Yes. We do pet-safe, non-toxic, semi-permanent color, stencils, and feathered ears and tails, from a subtle accent to a full artistic transformation. It is popular for birthdays, holidays, and photo shoots. Comfort always comes first: if a dog is not enjoying it, we stop.

Experience

My dog is anxious or reactive. Can you handle that?

This is exactly who the one-client-at-a-time model is built for. With no other animals in the room and no clock forcing the pace, anxious and reactive dogs settle in a way they usually cannot at a busy salon. Owner Crystal Ramos personally takes many of the most nervous dogs and seniors. Tell us about your dog's triggers when you book so we can plan the visit around them.

Health & Safety

What products do you use? Are they safe and non-toxic?

All shampoos and finishing products are non-toxic and matched to your pet's coat and skin, with no harsh chemicals. Creative-grooming color is pet-safe, non-toxic, and semi-permanent. If your dog has allergies or sensitive skin, tell your groomer at drop-off and we adjust the products accordingly.

Care

How often should my dog be groomed?

As a general guide: doodles and other non-shedding curly coats every 4–6 weeks to prevent matting; double-coated breeds every 8–12 weeks with de-shedding in spring and fall; short-coated dogs every 6–8 weeks for a bath and nails. Your groomer will recommend a cadence for your specific dog and coat at the first visit.
